Butterflies and such

Hosted by Cecily and MamaGeek

Here is another post with a line of photos from our trip to Hollins farm. This time looking at butterflies and bugs in that line ;-)

You can see the previous post on sunflowers right here.

Not that I am really the big expert on butterflies but Thanks to Cliff I now know that the next two photos is of the female Eastern Tiger Swallowtail.

Here's a pretty orange one. Not knowing the name of it but hey let's call it Bob ;-)

And finally a couple of close ups made with a 105mm macro I borrowed from Cliff just to see how it works... yeah it's ... man it sure would be nice to have one of those ;-)

Those last ones are amazing. I think a macro lens is my next investment!

Thanks for visiting my story.

Beautiful beautiful butterflies! Lovely shots. Makes me miss the fact I haven't gotten back to the butterfly pavilion again this summer. It's so much fun when they land on you and drink the salt off your skin.

Thanks for stopping by! My husband's hand continues to be a downer, especially as the ortho doc did not cast it on Monday like he said he would....

I really like that last photo. What a great perspective. I wish I had the patience to get this close.

Great shots! I love butterflies and managed to catch a shot of one a couple weeks ago, but it was not nearly as good as your shots.

I like BOB, works for me. but that's coming from someone who has a laptop named Frankie and a Desktop named Chuck. True Story.

BTW, did I say I loved the flowers last week? I did.

It's been a crazy week.
